An Entry into Life's Grand Novel

As I see it, all of existence is a great epic, all events being cataloged, all stories inclusive. Chapters upon chapters upon chapters devoted to all that is.

So grand is it in scope that the entirety of human existence pales in comparison to the whole, never mind our individual lives.

So when one small segment of our lives comes to a close, I find it fitting that sometimes there be no thrilling conclusion. No tumultuous explosion. Nothing... Satisfying.

Because the term "footnotes of history" and derivative ilk sometimes don't quite mesh. Sometimes even a footnote is more than an event warrants.

I feel that some events aren't represented by dialogue. Normal sentences are too extensive, never mind flowing, rich paragraphs.

Sometimes all that is necessary, all that is warranted is a simple punctuation mark.

And what that mark is says quite a bit.
